Don't Tell People That you're "Looking"!
Don't tell any of your friends or acquaintances that you are interested in meeting new men. This is not a good idea, and it's completely unnecessary.
Let it be their idea to fix you up with a date. Here's why:
First, if it's their idea, they will do a much better job of looking for you.
People feel good when coming up with a great man for you is their idea originally (just the way you planned it).
Second, some people won't handle the information that you're "looking" in a way that flatters you. They might think, "Poor Jill, she's all alone and wants a man." Horrors! That is not the image you want anyone to broadcast to the world.
If you promote the idea that you're "looking," then you will be seen as dateless and desperate. This will affect how people talk about you to a possible date. It's the kiss of death to be seen as needing a date.
Cultivate the impression that you're happy and have a full life; you're not a broken person waiting for someone to rescue you.
It's wisest to always give others the impression that you are "dating" - because officially you are.
You are not seriously dating, but your status is "dating." Whether you happen to have a date this weekend or not, you are status is still "dating people" in general!
If you focus on meeting people rather than meeting men, you will be much more relaxed. Focus on the activities at hand and be friendly with everyone at all times. This is the way to be at ease.
Maintain one genuine manner at all times. If you always treat everyone with the same courtesy, respect, and warmth, you can relax so much more. You won't have to worry about putting on any fronts for anyone. You won't have to wonder if you were nice enough to someone you ran into last week.
Instead of feeling less genuine, you will become more genuine and more disciplined and kind as well. People like to be around people who are consistent in their manner. Then they know what to expect. Make a conscious effort to always be pleasant, warm, and caring toward everyone you meet.
Men Are Everywhere
The man you're going to fall in love with - or spend many happy times with, if you don't want to fall in love - is not hard to find.
You can meet men all day long, every day, in virtually every setting. The best men are not in any one place - they're literally everywhere you go.
With all this in mind, you can quickly realize that life is a virtual goldmine of great men!
